Crowns & Bridges
A dental bridge is the most common alternative to permanent dental implants. They are frequently used to help restore people’s smiles & chewing function & also prevents unwanted movements with the tipping of teeth. It basically saves the tooth from having to be extracted.
A person might need a dental bridge if they’re missing one or more teeth in a row but have healthy teeth on either side of the missing teeth. The existing teeth can hold the dental bridge, which replaces the teeth that are missing.
A dental crown is the ‘cap’ that is put on a tooth either after root canal treatment or to protect a tooth with a large filling from breaking. In most cases, a temporary crown is placed on the tooth before going back a couple of weeks to get the permanent crown put on. The permanent crown will be able to last decades and is custom-made just to fit your teeth. A bridge is formed with 3-4 crowns in most cases & replaces missing teeth.
